Does the concept of viral videos fascinate you like it does me? Think about it. What makes a video go viral? We’ve all seen them…the old couple and their webcam, the “Charlie bit me” little boy, Antoine Dobson and the Bed Intruder song (my personal favorite!). These videos were viewed by millions in less than a day and have caused those in them to become instant celebrities. It all started with a video, YouTube and the share button.
Now, who knows if any of our videos will ever go viral. It would be pretty cool if they did! But even if we never hit “viral status”, you can use our company videos to your advantage.
Liz Moore and Associates has a YouTube channel, and well as has some videos posted to the Photo Gallery on the Insider. There you will find videos from our latest CHKD fundraiser, social or military team project. These videos have also been posted to various social media sites. You can take any of these videos and post them to your website, blog, facebook wall, etc. In fact, I strongly suggest you do.
I share a video and all of my followers see it, including you. You see it and share it. Now it is in front of all of your followers. One of your followers comments. Boom, all of their followers now see it. And so on so forth. The spider web expands. Google loves video content and gives you bonus SEO points when you share the video on your blog. You’ve included a keyword-rich description to go with that post…cha-ching…more Google points. Do you see where I’m going with this?
You may never make it on the Today Show for being part of a viral video, but using the viral video technique can get you some good traffic on your site or blog, help you touch a wide range of people and save you time. After all, you were using an already created video from Liz Moore and Associates!
