Ever participated in a “meetup?” The Liz Moore eTEAM has launched its latest marketing initiative – The Williamsburg-Peninsula Internet Marketing Group! What is it? A group of local business owners who will gather (physically) on a monthly basis to learn, collaborate, share ideas and generally network with a theme of building their online presence. The group will also gather “virtually” at the meetup website, just visit http://www.meetup.com/Williamsburg-Peninsula-Internet-Marketing-Group/ to check us out!
Our first meeting will be Wednesday, November 4th, from 4-5 at the Liz Moore building in Williamsburg for wine and cheese and our organizational meeting. It’s free, so come and join us – sign up by visiting the link above.

On Sunday, September 27th, we’re going to enjoy a company picnic at New Quarter Park in Northern York County (just past Queen’s Lake, if you’ve never been!). The Lytle Team will be grilling hamburgers and hotdogs, and the company will provide drinks…all you need to bring is a covered dish to share, and your lawn chairs.
Entertainment for the grown ups will be provided by our favorite, Kevin Tully! And, kids can enjoy volleyball, frisbee golf, and other games. Just rsvp to the Concierge so we have a headcount for food and drinks. See You There!
Last weekend our Williamsburg office hosted an Open House Extravaganza . 20 of our listings participated in neighborhoods such as Ford’s Colony, Governor’s Land, Powhatan Secondary and various others. Those in attendance were registered for a chance to win a gift card from two of our favorite spots, Baker’s Crust and Buon Amici. The Open House Extravaganza turned out to be a huge success producing many buyer leads for the agents at each house, as well gaining exposure for all of the great listings we have in Williamsburg!
24 Liz Moore agents, spouses and staff returned home happy and sunburned late Monday night from their excursion to the Majestic Elegance resort in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.
It was a great time, with lots of sun, beaches, poolside napping, kareoke, group dinners, and frozen drinks.
The company awards a trip to the top 20% of agents each year. Past trips have included Las Vegas, Puerto Rico, St. Thomas, and a cruise to the Cayman Islands.
On Tuesday, July 7th, from noon until 1 pm in our Williamsburg Office in New Town, I will present an Insider’s Look into the current state of the local real estate market for consumers. I thought I would try to hit the questions we are most frequently asked:
- Why isn’t my house selling?
- Has the real estate market hit the bottom yet?
- Are short sales and foreclosures good investments?
- Where are the best buys in town right now?
And, also take a look at the latest market trends in Williamsburg/James City County and the surrounding areas.
Space in our Training Theatre is limited to 42, so, rsvp to concierge@lizmoore.com to secure your spot. Free box lunch from Baker’s Crust!
One of Liz’s former clients (from a million years ago!) is now the Marketing Director at the Chesapeake, a fabulous retirement community in Newport News. When she read an article that Liz had written in the Daily Press (the Gatefold really works!), she invited her to do a presentation to prospective residents of
the Chesapeake about the best ways to contend with a buyers’ market, and still get your home sold quickly for top dollar.
About 20 local folks attended, and it was a great dynamic discussion. Vic and Diana Rondinelli were on hand to field questions, and to set up appointments for complimentary market analysis times. Vic and Diana recently launched a targeted niche website for Seniors, as part of the Liz Moore eTEAM strategy.
Yesterday, the Liz Moore & Associates’ Military Team held a parking lot sale to benefit local military charities.
The project was spearheaded by Tracey Holland and Nancy Gray, who sent a mailing to over 8,000 past clients and friends of Liz Moore agents, inviting them to “clean house” and donate gently used or new items to the sale. They rented a pod, and collected “stuff” for a week in advance.
The team then sorted, tagged and priced the items, and were open for business at 9 am on Saturday. They also hosted a bake sale at the site, and sold hot dogs and offered free popcorn to shoppers. All remaining unsold items were donated to DAV at the end of the afternoon.
All in all, the sale raised $770 for local military charities. A good day’s work!
Saturday, May 16th marks the 3rd annual Lytle Law 5k “Run for the Kids.” Our own Brian Lytle began the effort in 2006, and has been delighted to see it become one of the major races on the Peninsula. This year’s goal is 400 runners, which will beat last year’s participation two-fold.
In 2008, the Lytle team donated $10,000 to the Children’s Hospital of the Kings Daughters. They hope to raise $12,000 this year!
This year’s race will also feature a “Miracle Mile” fun run/walk, for those a little less ambitious, but who still want to participate and support the cause (that would be me!).
For any of you who have been involved in an event of this magnitude, you appreciate the effort necessary to make it a success.
Help us spread the word, be a sponsor, or just participate! More info, including registration forms and sponsorship opportunities at www.lytlelaw5k.com!
Join us April 1st at 4 pm in the Training Center for our First Ever March Madness Party!!! Basketball is the theme, and those of you who are serious fans can turn your brackets into Dewey or Peggy! It’s potluck (sign up in the workroom for an appetizer to bring), and beverages will be provided.
