The Military Team at Liz Moore and Associates, with help from other agents and clients, recently collected 150 boxes of Girl Scout cookies to send to troops overseas.

Postcards were sent to clients and they responded generously with donations and boxes of cookies.  The cookies were divided and shipped to six different service members in Afghanistan and Iraq so they could be shared.  One of the recipients, a Chaplain, asked for Ziploc bags in his box so that he could distribute the cookies to the wounded.    

 This is not the first time that the Military Team has acted to support our Troops.  For the past five years, boxes of Christmas cards were collected and sent to the troops in December.  Those shipments were welcomed by the service members as well, providing cards for them to send home to loved ones; something that is hard to find in the war zones. 

This year, the 37^th Expeditionary Bomb Squadron flew the US flag in combat over Afghanistan onboard a B-1B Bomber in honor of the Military Team’s support.  The flag and certificate will be displayed in the Newport News office ~ come check it out!

Liz Moore & Associates, sponsored by the Liz Moore & Associates Military Team, is collecting Girl Scout Cookies to send to our military stationed overseas.  (We are also accepting donations to buy and ship the cookies).

You may drop off boxed cookies or your donations to our Newport News office prior to March 10th.  Your thoughtfulness will be a sweet memory and just another reminder of how much we appreciate their service!

Holiday parades are part of the joyous spirit that brings our community together during the holiday season…and we’ll be there!  Our agents have been working very hard over the past few months to put together Liz Moore and Associates floats for the Holiday parades in Hampton and Poquoson.  Come check them out and get in the holiday spirit…Liz Moore style!

The Poquoson parade, “The Movies of Christmas”,  is on December 4th at 7pm and runs from Champs Auto Center to Wachovia Bank on Wythe Creek Road.

The Hampton parade, “Jingle Bell Rock”, is on December 12th at 6:30pm and runs from City Hall to Darling Stadium.

It’s time to update our Preferred Vendors Directory! For those of you who are new to us, we offer a tremendous resource to our agents…a directory of all of our favorite contractors, vendors and suppliers.
In order to be included, a vendor must be endorsed by an agent, and supply us with at least one client testimonial (as well as any license and insurance confirmation, if appropriate in their trade). They have the option for a small fee of being included in our published directory, which is available at www.lizmoore.com and also mailed annually to our 16,000+ mailing list.
It’s a great opportunity for our clients and colleagues to have access to a “tried and true” list of painters, handymen, etc. And, it’s a great opportunity for our favorite partners to also be promoted to a great audience.

Looking for ways to “wow” your new buyer clients, and help connect them to the community at the same time? How about hosting a housewarming party for them?
Marketing has a variety of different invitation styles for you, and the company will pay for the invitations and the mailing. Your client provides their invitation list (or, if they’re new to town, you can simply invite their neighbors), and you and your client decide on the refreshments. Cheesecake and coffee, wine and cheese – several agents have used my chocolate fondue machine and that makes for a simple, but fun experience.
