Earlier this year, Liz Moore & Associates launched its first “virtual office” with a team of sales specialists who are dedicated to helping investors build wealth through their real estate portfolios. In response to client demand, Liz has authored The Field Guide to Real Estate Investing, a 16 page e-book which was created to give first time investors an idea of where to begin. The e-book is free, and can be downloaded at www.TheSavvyRealEstateInvestor.com.
The website is a content rich resource, offering tips and articles galore to experienced and “wannabe” investors alike, all the way from Williamsburg, to Hampton and Newport News, VA. In addition to downloading the e-book, visitors can take a quiz to determine their level of investment savvy, check out our “must know” investor websites, explore potential investment returns with our deal analyzer calculator, read articles by local attorneys, lenders, realtors and tax professionals, or even Ask a Guru about creative financing options for investment!
Our site also offers the ability to search foreclosures, short sales, and REO properties in Newport News, Hampton, Poquoson, Yorktown, Gloucester, Smithfield, Williamsburg and James City County.
So, if you are wondering if now is the time to begin to build your financial portfolio through savvy real estate investments, we have the PERFECT place for you to begin!

Liz Moore, President of Liz Moore and Associates, was honored with the Women in Business Achievement Award on December 14th for her accomplishments in business and her community. These awards are bestowed by Inside Business to recognize local leading business women for their business acumen, and as role models for other women.
Moore opened the doors to Liz Moore and Associates in December of 2003. Since then, both offices in
Newport News and Williamsburg have risen to the top in their respective markets.
Moore serves on various committees for the Williamsburg Association of Realtors and the Virginia Peninsula Association of Realtors, as well as the Board of Advisors for the Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughters.
When asked about her proudest business achievement, Moore said, “There is nothing more rewarding than coaching an agent to become successful in this business; I have had that opportunity many times with some talented people.”
Moore attributes her success to hiring great people and goal setting, and always tries to look for the opportunity in every challenge.
“I have no desire to be the biggest brokerage,” Moore said, “rather, it is far more important to me to have the best agents in the local market, maximizing their potential, and delivering the most exceptional client experience possible.”
Moore’s advice for women – “Goal- setting and planning are essential. Focus on maximizing your strengths instead of shoring up weaknesses.”

After listening to feedback from the agents on what they liked and didn’t like about our Daily Press gatefold ad layout, we’ve made some exciting changes! Starting in January, the first insert (that wraps the front page) will be made up of all ad space available to the agents. This will include the featured listings on the front, open house ads, and various other spots sized and priced to offer something for everyone. The second insert (that wraps Nation & World) will contain all of our institutional advertising such as company ads and articles, as well as all of our active inventory. The first gatefold ad of the new year will come out in the Daily Press on the third Sunday of the month. There are just a few spots still available, so email me at lynnettetully@lizmoore.com for more information.
And, don’t forget to grab a newspaper and check out our new look on January 17th!

Marketing can help you capitalize on the affinity all of the residents share for their neighborhood. This postcard was created to not only promote the home, but to promote the location. All you need is a few great photos of the neighborhood, coupled with a short blurb about what makes it so special. Send the cards out to all of the neighbors asking them if they know of anyone who would like to live in their neighborhood and share in their excitement about the community. Just another unique tool available to you for promoting your listings!

The Virginia Peninsula Association of Realtors and the Williamsburg Area Association of Realtors have both recently installed their Boards and officers. The Liz Moore team has always been well represented in the local association leadership, and this year is no exception.
The VPAR Installation Banquet was held at the Virginia Air & Space museum in downtown Hampton. Diana Rondinelli was installed as a Director on the VPAR Board for 2010. And, Julie Crist was recognized for her service in 2008-2009. At the traditional passing of the gavel, Donna Moyer passed the gavel to Bob Sullivan, who in turn passed it to the incoming President.
Bob “Sully” Sullivan did a fabulous job emcee-ing the event last night as outgoing President, and was surprised to win the coveted Code of Ethics award.
The WAAR Installation Banquet was held at the Kingsmill Resort in Williamsburg. Rolf Kramer and Deelyn Neilson were installed as Directors on the Williamsburg Multiple Listing Service Board.
Congratulations on a job well done!
